What is the secret to stopping smoking?

To save you time and money, I will give you the million dollar secret. Don't light the next one. That's it. Stopping smoking is simple; it's just not easy for many of us. If just not lighting the next one has proven to be too difficult for you and you have a desire to be free from the grip cigarettes have over you, this program will help.

Why should I use Free For Life instead of some other approach?

Unlike 99.9999% of the other stop smoking approaches available to you, Free For Life does not try to convince you that you must stop smoking and that you don't want to smoke anymore. Actually, it's done in an opposite direction. Free For Life teaches you how to make peace with your Urges to Smoke (UTS) and how to overcome feeling deprived when the UTS occur now, tomorrow, and ten or twenty years from now. UTS will not simply disappear simply because you wish they would, so let me teach you how to make them something positive in your life. In other words, and I have been there, as it is right now you hate yourself for smoking but love cigarettes. I will flip that for you where you get comfortable with what you feel and come to hate what's appropriate, the cigarettes. The way it is now your UTS tell you that you love cigarettes but hate yourself for smoking. You puff on them hundreds of times a day as they spit poisons down your throat. You embrace them as they knife you from the inside out. Why Free For Life? Because it will change your thinking and then help you change your life.

Can I use a nicotine replacement program (the patch, nicotine gum, etc) to help the withdrawals?

Yes, but why? Nicotine leaves your body very quickly. If someone has been smoking for 40, 50, 60 plus years 2, 3, or more packs a day suddenly stops, within 24-48 hours the vast, vast majority of nicotine (the addictive substance) is gone. What seemingly never leave are the UTS. Incidentally, of all drug addictions, the nicotine withdrawal is probably the gentlest kick of all. There are none of the symptoms of delirium tremens as there are for heavy drinkers, no cold turkey bone-crushing feelings of withdrawal as there is for a heroin addict, no life and death risk as there are for tranquilizer and barbiturate addicts. The worst not smoking (using nicotine) will make you feel is a little uncomfortable. But hey, you're already uncomfortable smoking. Using a nicotine replacement product is merely perpetuating the dependence on something you want to break free from. You've already tried these and are still smoking so my suggestion is do it without the nicotine.

Is this hypnotism? Are you going to trick me into not smoking?

Any way someone stops smoking is the best way there is. However, with the Free For Life approach there are no tricks, gimmicks, hocus pocus, pills, potions, or substitutes. There are no lies. The approach is anything but hypnotism. I am not going to try to convince you that you hate smoking, that you will have no more UTS, that smoking stinks, that you are a non-smoker, etc. This is done from a very aware place, not subconsciously.

What if I don’t stop smoking?

I've told my clients for years that I am not going to promise you that you will never smoke again. I can promise you, however, that after you take the program you will never enjoy smoking ever again. If for some reason you do not stop the first time there are suggestions in the program of how to proceed so it will work.

I've tried to stop so many times before, I can't stop, why should I bother?

This is coming from a place of fear. I've heard FEAR describes as False Evidence Appears Real. When the false evidence of “I can't do this” rings loudly enough in your ears then fear become Forget Everything And Run back to the cigarettes. Fear is mandatory in life. It is a survival mechanism that every human being knows. But we have a choice of how we view our fears. Fear can be a negative or a positive, debilitating or motivating, frightening or exciting. Let's take your fear of stopping and make it your excitement of finally being free from the grip tobacco has over your life. When you can use fear as a positive, motivating force, then fear becomes Face Everything And Recover from this addiction.

I don't really want to stop?

I hear you. No one ever wants to stop smoking. It’s something we are being forced to do by our family, our friends, ourselves, or whatever. Because even after we do stop, we still get our lousy Urges To Smoke over and over. This is why I show you how to use the UTS as the way to stop smoking rather than always trying to ignore them. As I always say, just because I want to smoke does not mean I have to smoke.

This is not the right time for me to stop. How could I stop when I have so many challenges facing me right now?

There will never be a good time to stop smoking. As a result, there is never a bad time to stop smoking either. Now here comes the hard truth. Since there is never a bad time then you will never have the opportunity to stop smoking in as good of health and as young as you are now ever again.

What if I gain weight?

No one gains substantial weight from stopping smoking. The real weight gain comes from substituting food for a cigarette. Much of the program and the results come from not changing your life around where you eat, drink, and continue to do what you normally do in life. If you will let me show you how to get comfortable with UTS, then you won't need to try to eat them away.
